Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) is a statutory body of the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India. It functions as the nodal body for the adoption of Indian children and is mandated to monitor and regulate in-country and inter-country adoptions. Through this application Prospective Adoptive Parents (PAPs) can view their profile, check their seniority details, withdraw the application, he can also reserve normal, immediate and special needs children.
Users can view seniority once they have uploaded their documents and the moment Home Study Report (HSR) is approved by the concerned Specialised Adoption Agency (SAA). Seniority number is tentative and may vary as per the child preference for adoption (age, state, gender, category, health status). Seniority list is maintained on the basis of date of registration in CARINGS.
This service offers Prospective Adoptive Parents (PAPs) to reserve the special needs children which comes from referral. The PAPs can also view the children profile which they have reserved via this service.
This services offeres Prospective Adoptive Parents (PAPs) to request for Home Study Report (HSR) Re-Validation. The PAPs can upload the various document being asked and by selecting the correct agency and preferred age they can request for HSR Re-validation.
This service offers Parents to track their application which has been approved by Central Adoption Resource Authority, they will be also able to find out the children referred to them for adoption. Prospective Adoptive Parents (PAPs) would be also able to check registration accepted date and home study completed date.
Prospective Adoptive Parents (PAPs) need to upload the photograph of person/s adopting a child (Post Card Size), birth certificate, proof of residence (Adhaar Card/Voter Card/ Driving License/ Passport/ Current Electricity Bill/ Telephone Bill, proof of income of last year (Salary Slip/ Income Certificate issued by Govt. Department/ Income Tax Return), In case married need to upload marriage certificate, In case PAPs are divorcee they need upload copy of divorce decree, In case of death of spouse they need to upload death certificate of spouse, certificate from a medical practitioner certifying that the PAPs do not suffer from any chronic, contagious or fatal disease and they are fit to adopt.
